Welcome to Farmhouse Family Pet Practice
Website!

Of all the vets, veterinarians, vet hospitals, vet practices,
vet clinics, and animal hospitals one may choose from in these modern times, Farmhouse Family Veterinary Hospital is among
the most unique.
Located in the Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater area of Washington State’s Thurston
County, Farmhouse Family Pet Practice operates out of a real farmhouse that was once a working farm with horses, cattle, sheep
and goats.
In 1994, the property was purchased by Dr. Michael Widener and converted to a full
service clinic for dogs, cats, and a large variety
of exotic pets and birds of all kinds including
ducks, chickens and geese.
In addition to dogs, cats and birds, we treat
small mammal pocket pets including ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, mice, gerbils, chinchillas, pot
belly pigs and sugar gliders. We are the only local clinic that spays, neuters, and treats Pot Bellied Pigs.
Soon we will add reptile, turtle and aquatic animal medicine to our list of services. We also treat a limited
number of wild animal species including rabbits, raccoons, and opossums per Washington State law.
Our clinic is home to one Cockatiel, two Love Birds, one Amazon Parrot, two African Grey Parrots, three Chinchillas,
and one Dog named “Oreo” who were all rescued pets.
